With three LPS works, through the American record label COMATOSE MUSIC RECORDS, demonstrating his brutality in SLAM / BRUTAL DEATH METAL music, from Montreal, Canada, NECROTICGOREBEAST – “NECROTICGOREBEAST” with his first work under the band name, then search evolve within their music, give particular elements that is “HUMAN DEVIANCE GALORE”, NOW this year the BRUTAL “REPUGNANAT” with an insanely bizarre cover of horror psychological gore terror, with it the guest voices of MATT MC GACHY CRIPTOPSY and JONATHAN HUBER OF BLUDGEONED, which would drop a disgusting explosion.
1 A brutal greeting from Colombia, my name is Ricardo Bedoya from SCUMZINE MAGAZINE, how were things at the event with SIGNS OF THE AWARM?
Hey Ricardo! Thank you for the interview! Our show with Signs of the Swarm is scheduled for November 22nd. We're pretty excited about this show as we are fans of the band and have received a lot of support from them in the last few years.
2 Tell us about the new album “REPUGNANT”
We want to create a unique vibe for each of our albums, not trying to remake a recipe that has already been done and try to make it better. We want to make sure that each album we release has its own identity and its own vibe. To evolve as musicians, we put in a lot of effort on REPUGNANT. We believe that this album is the most crafted we've made so far.
3 What was the songwriting process like on “REPUGNANT”? And what is the theme of this new work?
Musically, the theme of the album could be described as brutal catchiness. Our goal as musicians is to push ourselves and create a unique atmosphere for every song we write. We aim to create connections and links between our songs to make them a complete experience. Brutal Death Metal is clearly our creative core. With our album "REPUGNANT", we think that we were able to achieve a level of catchiness in each of our songs that will make you go through the whole album super smoothly.
4 What is the meaning of the album title “REPUGNANT”? And what does the cover art of “REPUGNANT” represent?
Repugnant represent a side of us that we often don't want to expose yet we are attracted to. The artwork is a visual representation of our wickedness, a beautiful piece that showcases the most distasteful aspects of men.
5 Tell us about the author? And what was the idea or creation of the concept like?
While searching for artwork that was different from our previous albums, we came across this beautiful piece by RF Pangborn. It caught our eye instantly. We reached out to him and presented ourselves and the concept of our upcoming album. He appreciated the concept of our album and granted us permission to use his artwork.
6 How was the response to your previous previous CD “NECROTICGOREBEAST” and “HUMAN DEVIANCE GALORE”? And how were things with press distribution with the two new albums?
We were very surprised by the reception it received, being mentioned in some AOTY lists for both albums. We are musicians who are both humble and dedicated. We strive to exceed expectations with each release and never take things for granted. We are extremely proud of our first two albums and we are grateful for the fact that people are still discovering us today through them.
7 How are things and distribution going with COMATOSE MUSIC?
From the beginning, Comatose Music has been a blessing for us. It's one thing to produce music that people want to listen to. But being backed up by people who believe in you and help you grow as an artist is definitely the best thing that could have happened to us. Our relationship with Comatose Music is based on professionalism and thrust, and Steve is one of the coolest guys ever.
8 Are you continuing with COMATOSE MUSIC? Or there is a new offer, what can you tell us?
Each release is a chance for us to express and celebrate our art with fans of the genre. No one can predict the future, but if possible, you can expect us to continue our great partnership with Comatose Music for many more years.
9 Tell us about how the idea for the video “DEVIANT PRIMITIVE DEBAUCHERY” came about? And what has been the response from the fans, and with the video “REPUGNANT” LYRIC VIDEO?
For the DEVIANT PRIMITIVE DEBAUCHERY, we teamed up with our good friend Ismael Mossadeq. Like any artist, we aim to allow our collaborators to explore creative ideas and how they perceive things from their own perspective. The clip's concept was brought up by Ismael. He always enjoyed the part of us where we don't take ourselves too seriously. He really wanted a scene where John had his balls cut off.
The REPUGNANT lyric video was created with the help of BSA Graphics, who is extremely talented and provided outstanding visuals. We always thought the idea of having video lyrics over inaudible vocals was really funny. What is the point of watching video lyrics if you already understand the vocals?
10 Tell us about metal festivals where you participated in the UNITED STATES, CANADA and that other countries have been participating, and what differences you can observe in the scene. (Tell us about CHICAGO DOMINIANT FEST 8).
We did our first US tour last July with Analepsy, Cognitive, and Wormhole. Each show was a chance to discover a new local scene and connect with people who have been following us for years or just happened to discover us. We appreciate everyone who came to every of our shows. Each one was special in their own way. Sometimes it was shown with a bigger crowd, a bigger pit, stage dives, or sometimes just by people reaching us after our set and expressing their appreciation and buying our merch.
Chicago domination fest 8 was a very special event for us. We were scheduled to play in 2020, but it has been postponed every year due to covid. This was the final edition and it was probably the best one. Being a part of it and meeting many great bands and fans was a great privilege.
11 Future plans to promote the new CD

Hola Ricardo! ¡Gracias por la entrevista! Nuestro show con SIGNS OF THE SWARM está programado para el 22 de noviembre. Estamos muy emocionados con este show ya que somos fans de la banda y hemos recibido mucho apoyo de ellos en los últimos años. (Si, no observe la fecha, esperamos sea tremendo show)
2 Cuéntanos sobre el nuevo álbum “REPUGNANT”
Queremos crear una vibra única para cada uno de nuestros álbumes, no intentar rehacer una receta que ya se ha hecho e intentar mejorarla. Queremos asegurarnos de que cada álbum que lanzamos tenga su propia identidad y su propia vibra. Para evolucionar como músicos, pusimos mucho esfuerzo en REPUGNANT. Creemos que este álbum es el más elaborado que hemos hecho hasta ahora.
3 ¿Cómo fue el proceso de composición de “REPUGNANT”? ¿Y cuál es la temática de este nuevo trabajo?
Musicalmente, el tema del álbum podría describirse como brutalmente pegadizo. Nuestro objetivo como músicos es esforzarnos y crear una atmósfera única para cada canción que escribimos. Nuestro objetivo es crear conexiones y vínculos entre nuestras canciones para que sean una experiencia completa. Brutal Death Metal es claramente nuestro núcleo creativo. Con nuestro álbum "REPUGNANT", creemos que pudimos alcanzar un nivel de pegadizo en cada una de nuestras canciones que te hará recorrer todo el álbum sin problemas.
4 ¿Cuál es el significado del título del álbum “REPUGNANTE”? ¿Y qué representa la portada de “REPUGNANT”?
Lo repugnante representa un lado de nosotros que muchas veces no queremos exponer pero que nos atrae. La obra de arte es una representación visual de nuestra maldad, una hermosa pieza que muestra los aspectos más desagradables de los hombres.
5 ¿Cuéntanos sobre el autor? ¿Y cómo fue la idea o creación del concepto?
Mientras buscábamos ilustraciones que fueran diferentes a las de nuestros álbumes anteriores, nos encontramos con esta hermosa pieza de RF Pangborn. Nos llamó la atención al instante. Nos acercamos a él y le presentamos a nosotros mismos y el concepto de nuestro próximo álbum. Apreció el concepto de nuestro álbum y nos concedió permiso para usar su obra de arte.
6 ¿Cómo fue la respuesta a vuestro anterior CD “NECROTICGOREBEAST” y “HUMAN DEVIANCE GALORE”? ¿Y cómo fueron las cosas con la distribución de prensa de los dos nuevos álbumes?
Nos sorprendió mucho la acogida que tuvo, siendo mencionado en algunas listas de AOTY para ambos álbumes. Somos músicos humildes y dedicados. Nos esforzamos por superar las expectativas con cada lanzamiento y nunca damos las cosas por sentado. Estamos extremadamente orgullosos de nuestros dos primeros álbumes y estamos agradecidos por el hecho de que la gente todavía nos descubre hoy a través de ellos.
7 ¿Cómo van las cosas y la distribución con COMATOSE MUSIC?
Desde el principio, COMATOSE MUSIC ha sido una bendición para nosotros. Una cosa es producir música que la gente quiera escuchar. Pero contar con el respaldo de personas que creen en ti y te ayudan a crecer como artista es definitivamente lo mejor que nos pudo haber pasado. Nuestra relación con COMATOSE MUSIC se basa en el profesionalismo y el empuje, y Steve es uno de los tipos más geniales de todos los tiempos.
8 ¿Sigues con COMATOSE MUSIC? O hay una nueva oferta, ¿qué nos puedes contar?
Cada lanzamiento es una oportunidad para que expresemos y celebremos nuestro arte con los fanáticos del género. Nadie puede predecir el futuro, pero si es posible, puede esperar que continuemos nuestra gran asociación con COMATOSE MUSIC durante muchos años más.
9 ¿Cuéntanos cómo surgió la idea del video “DEVIANT PRIMITIVE DEBAUCHERY”? ¿Y cuál ha sido la respuesta de los fans y con el video VIDEO LÍRICO “REPUGNANTE”?
Para el “DEVIANT PRIMITIVE DEBAUCHERY”, nos asociamos con nuestro buen amigo Ismael Mossadeq. Como cualquier artista, nuestro objetivo es permitir que nuestros colaboradores exploren ideas creativas y cómo perciben las cosas desde su propia perspectiva. El concepto del clip fue mencionado por Ismael. Siempre disfrutó esa parte de nosotros en la que no nos tomamos a nosotros mismos demasiado en serio. Realmente quería una escena en la que a John le cortaran las pelotas.
El vídeo con la letra de REPUGNANT fue creado con la ayuda de BSA Graphics, que es extremadamente talentoso y proporcionó imágenes excepcionales. Siempre pensamos que la idea de tener letras en video sobre voces inaudibles era realmente divertida. ¿Cuál es el punto de ver letras en video si ya entiendes las voces? – Bueno, jejeje.
10 Cuéntanos sobre festivales de metal en los que participaste en ESTADOS UNIDOS, CANADÁ y en los que han estado participando otros países, y qué diferencias puedes observar en la escena. (Cuéntanos sobre CHICAGO DOMINANT FEST 8).
Hicimos nuestra primera gira por Estados Unidos en julio pasado con ANALEPSY, COGNITIVE y WORMHOLE. Cada espectáculo fue una oportunidad para descubrir una nueva escena local y conectar con personas que nos siguen desde hace años o que simplemente nos descubrieron. Agradecemos a todos los que vinieron a cada uno de nuestros shows. Cada uno era especial a su manera. A veces se mostró con una multitud más grande, un foso más grande, inmersiones en el escenario o, a veces, simplemente con personas que se acercaban a nosotros después de nuestra presentación y expresaban su agradecimiento y compraban nuestro merchandising.
