A brutal greeting from Colombia, South America, my name is Ricardo Bedoya Orjuela, from SCUMZINE MAG magazine, How are things going in the band?

Greets from Donbass to you Ricardo, and all readers your amazing magazine!!! Alex and Dmitry in touch...

1 How was the band formed? And why the name STALINO?

Band Stalino was founded in 2009. The first line up included three former members of our old band Bredor. Since that time, a lot of water has flowed away.The line up has been changed several times. A considerable number of shows have been played, and four releases have been released.

The name band is the old name of our city of Donetsk.It sounds like a city of steel. And then it was linked to name of Stalin too...We use it as patriotic name, with love to our homeland Donbass.

2 Let's start the interview talking about the new cd “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA”, How was the recording and mixing process in the studios? And how long did it take to write and record the album?

We started composing music for the new album in 2019, when the band was revived after a long pause.Half of the album was created with the old guitarist Ivan, who left the band for personal reasons halfway through the creation of the album. The recording was done in our own Durman Records studio, with the involvement of an outside studio sound engineer. The studio processes stretched over six months in time.

4 What does the cover of “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA” mean? And what was the process of creating the cover art like?

There are no riddles on the cover, and everyone with eyesight agrees with this. But in addition to simple physical vision, a person must have the ability to speculatively touch the analyzed creative object. In general, the battle of people with the elements is invented here. On an industrial scale! Labor heroism and technical prowess!!

5 What is the meaning of the title? What is the theme of the CD? And what is the influence of the band (cinema, books and bands)? And what is the musical composition like?

The title of the album is also about the theme of the superiority of spirit over dead matter! The theme of the disc is positive from achievements and victories. The influence exerted on us is different. it is in the past, in the present and in the future. The main force here is the personal and collective growth of performing skills, compositional flair, and just luck. To live another day in Donbass is a great success, my brother! The similarity of our work to examples of violent death metal is nothing more. It's like every spring is similar in beauty to the first, most important one.

6 Tell us how things are with the press distribution with the previous album “SEVEN VOICES” & “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA, the response of the fans and the extreme press, how are things going in the distribution with the COYOTE RECORDS label ? And how do you get into the ranks of COYOTE RECORDS?

Both albums were warmly received by both listeners and the press. We have received a lot of kind feedback from a lot of people from all over the world, including Colombia, and support from respected fellow musicians...For both albums, it was an honor for us to give a number of interviews to various print and web publications, and there were many good reviews.

Due to work with COYOTE RECORDS, the previous album was distributed worldwide. As far as we know, the new album has been sent for distribution in the USA, Japan and the Czech Republic.

Our history of cooperation with COYOTE began back in 2004, when we signed the first contract with this label for the publication of our work DATURA - Impulse 80 (2005). In the future, we were happy to publish STALINO and DATURA and other DONBASS BRUTAL SYNDICATE projects on this label. We are pleased with the cooperation. We also have a long-term personal friendship with the chief of the label...

7 Tell us about “DONBASS BRUTAL SYNDICATE”

Donbass Brutal Syndicate now, as at all times, it is a pleasant consortium on our stage. These are Datura, Stalino, Megalodont, Vanstorbing Insolobridishn, Steam Hammer, Imitation, The Gaz, Elizarov devices. General management,rehearsal room, recording studio and concert venues. they make

8 Tell us about the EP “CONFLICT”, how was it received?

This was our start after a long pause in the musical activities of all the members of our first line up. In fact, it was a logical continuation of Bredor, brought to a qualitatively new level. This release received good reviews in the press, there were many reviews and interviews after the release of this EP...

9 Tell us how they are in UKRAINE, what is the metal scene like now?

Ukraine has a lot of cool brutal bands. But now there is a war going on here. We live on the other side of the barricades, and we don't see very well how things are going with them. Now everything has become more difficult here and there, both in terms of musical activity and for life in general...

10 Dissonant tapes, released in cassette format “SEVEN VOICES”, what is your opinion about this format?

We treat cassettes and analog sound with love. We think it's cool!!! By the way, our new album has been released on both CD and cassettes too...

11 How do you perceive the BRUTAL DEATH METAL world scene?

We treat them with great respect and interest. And of course we have a certain share of influence on our creativity. We are friends with many bands from different parts of the world. We also had the pleasure to share stages with prominent representatives of the Colombian brutal scene such as Internal Suffering, Mindly Rotten...We hope that we will meet again in the future...Our hearts are in awe of the greatness of the Colombian scene.

12 What do you know about the scene in Colombia?

We probably don't know much about your scene...But we know and respect 15-20 of the coolest brutal bands from your country, and we have many friends of musicians from Colombia as well...

13 future plans (video/tours and others) and final comment

We have a standard set in our plans! Domination and embodiment! As bequeathed by the great ancient ancestors! Conquering the world! Gaining power over one's own thoughts and deeds! And also to feed domestic and wild animals!

1 ¿Cómo se formó la banda? Y ¿Por qué el nombre de STALINO?

La banda Stalino se fundó en 2009. La primera formación incluía a tres ex miembros de nuestra antigua banda Bredor. Desde entonces ha corrido mucha agua. La formación ha cambiado varias veces. Se ha presentado un número considerable de espectáculos y se han lanzado cuatro lanzamientos.

El nombre de la banda es el antiguo nombre de nuestra ciudad de Donetsk. Suena como una ciudad de acero. Y luego también se vinculó al nombre de Stalin... Lo usamos como nombre patriótico, con amor a nuestra patria Donbass.

2 Comencemos la entrevista hablando del nuevo cd “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA”, ¿Cómo fue el proceso de Grabación y mezcla en los estudios? Y ¿Cuánto tiempo llevo escribir y grabar el álbum?

Comenzamos a componer música para el nuevo álbum en 2019, cuando la banda revivió después de una larga pausa. La mitad del álbum fue creada con el antiguo guitarrista Ivan, quien dejó la banda por motivos personales a mitad de la creación del álbum. La grabación se realizó en nuestro propio estudio de Durman Records, con la participación de un ingeniero de sonido externo al estudio. Los procesos de estudio se prolongaron durante seis meses.

4 ¿Qué significa la portada de “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA”? y ¿Cómo fue el proceso de creación del cover art?

¡El título del álbum alude a la idea de que el espíritu es más grande que la materia muerta! El tema del disco es el optimismo derivado de los éxitos y logros. Su poder sobre nosotros no es el mismo. Existe en el pasado, presente y futuro. Los factores clave en esta situación son el talento compositivo, la suerte y el desarrollo de habilidades interpretativas individuales y grupales. ¡Hermano mío, sobrevivir un día más en Donbass es un logro maravilloso! El parecido de nuestro trabajo con muestras de death metal extremo se limita a eso. Cada primavera parece tener la misma calidad exquisita que la primera y más significativa.

5 ¿Cuál es el significado del título?, ¿Cuál es el tema del CD? Y ¿Cuál es la influencia de la banda (cine, libros y bandas)? Y ¿Cómo es la composición musical?

Ambos álbumes fueron recibidos calurosamente tanto por los oyentes como por la prensa. Hemos recibido muchos comentarios amables de mucha gente de todo el mundo, incluyendo Colombia, y el apoyo de colegas músicos respetados... Para ambos álbumes, fue un honor para nosotros dar varias entrevistas a varios medios impresos. y publicaciones web, y hubo muchas buenas críticas.

6 Cuéntanos cómo están las cosas con la distribución de la prensa con el álbum anterior "SEVEN VOICES" & “WORLDVIEW PIERCED BY EUPHORIA, la respuesta de los fanáticos y la prensa extrema, ¿cómo van las cosas en la distribución con el sello COYOTE RECORDS? ¿Y cómo llegas a las filas de COYOTE RECORDS?

Debido al trabajo con COYOTE RECORDS, el álbum anterior se distribuyó a nivel mundial. Hasta donde sabemos, el nuevo álbum ha sido enviado para su distribución en EE.UU., Japón y la República Checa.

Nuestra historia de colaboración con COYOTE comenzó en 2004, cuando firmamos el primer contrato con este sello para la publicación de nuestro trabajo DATURA - Impulse 80 (2005). En el futuro, estaremos felices de publicar STALINO y DATURA y otros proyectos de DONBASS BRUTAL SYNDICATE en este sello. Estamos satisfechos con la cooperación. También tenemos una larga amistad personal con el jefe del sello...

7 Háblanos de “DONBASS BRUTAL SYNDICATE”

Como siempre ha sido, Donbass Brutal Syndicate es un grupo encantador en nuestro escenario. Estos incluyen los dispositivos Elizarov, Datura, Stalino, Megalodont, Vanstorbing Insolobridishn, Steam Hammer, Imitation y The Gaz. 8 Cuéntanos del EP “CONFLICT”, ¿Cómo fue recibido?

Este fue nuestro comienzo después de una larga pausa en las actividades musicales de todos los integrantes de nuestra primera formación. De hecho, fue una continuación lógica de Bredor, llevada a un nivel cualitativamente nuevo. Este lanzamiento recibió buenas críticas en la prensa, hubo muchas críticas y entrevistas después del lanzamiento de este EP...

9 Cuéntanos como están en UKRAINE, ¿Cómo es la escena de metal, actualmente?

Ucrania tiene muchas bandas geniales y brutales. Pero ahora hay una guerra aquí. Vivimos al otro lado de las barricadas y no vemos muy bien cómo van las cosas con ellas. Ahora todo se ha vuelto más difícil aquí y allá, tanto en términos de actividad musical como en la vida en general...

10 Dissonant tapes, edito en formato cassette “SEVEN VOICES”, ¿cuál es tu opinión sobre este formato?

Tratamos los casetes y el sonido analógico con amor. ¡¡¡Creemos que es genial!!! Por cierto, nuestro nuevo álbum ha sido lanzado tanto en CD como en casetes...

11 ¿Cómo percibes la escena mundial de BRUTAL DEATH METAL?

Les mostramos mucho interés y respeto. Naturalmente, también tenemos cierto impacto sobre nuestra creatividad. Tenemos amistades con numerosas bandas de todo el mundo. También tuvimos el honor de compartir escenario con conocidos miembros de la escena violenta colombiana, como Mindly Rotten e Internal Suffering. Esperamos volver a cruzarnos en el futuro. No podemos olvidar lo increíble que es el colombiano y su escena.

12 ¿Qué sabes de la escena en Colombia?

Probablemente no sepamos mucho sobre su escena... Pero conocemos y respetamos a 15-20 de las bandas brutales más geniales de su país, y también tenemos muchos amigos de músicos de Colombia...
