It is an Italian band, that with its second CD "MAKIND RECALL" through COMATOSE MUSIC, its music is evidently BRUTAL DEATH METAL, it talks about a theme like post-humanism, technology and science fiction, its first piece that is also a masterpiece, “TRANSCENDING EMBODIMENT”, the two works manage to devastate the world, from Italy to the world.

A brutal greeting from Colombia South America, my name is Ricardo Bedoya editor of SCUMZINE MAGAZINE WEB, how is everything going in the band?

Hi everyone, I’m Lorenzo, vocals of Posthuman Abomination. Everything’s fine thanks.

1 Tell us a bit about the new work “MANKIND RECALL”

Mankind Recall is the natural evolution of Posthuman Abomination after our first album Transcending Embodiment.

2 Tell us about how was the recording and mixing of the new CD “MANKIND RECALL”?

We recorded everything by ourselves during the COVID pandemic, then we sent all the tracks to Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar studio (he is famous for working with Decrepit Birth, Hour of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vomit The Soul, Devangelic and many more). He did an amazing job, he sent us daily updates and guided us to reach the heaviest sound we were looking for.

3 How do I do the musical composition in POSTHUMAN ABOMINATION? And why the theme about Post-humanism, technology and science fiction?

I’m a great fan of sci fi horror movies, cyborgs and the future of humanity. A future with implants, enhancements, modified humans can be very scary. Also I was a bit tired of the “classic” death metal lyrics that I wrote in the past.

4 What is the meaning of the album title “MANKIND RECALL”?

It’s a pun based on “Product Recall”, you know, when a product is no more usable, defective, obsolete, it is retired and the production is stopped. I this case “the product” is the human, the mankind, and it’s time to be retired. For years humans thought to own the machines but now it’s the contrary.

5 What does the cover art “MANKIND RECALL” represent?

I described the concept to Guang Young and that is his interpretation. Humans trapped in a biomechanical “Giger style” environment.

6 As things were with the distribution, the extreme press with the previous album “TRANSCENDING EMBODIMENT”

Not bad, we got nice reviews.

7 And how are things and distribution going with “MANKIND RECALL”?

Similar to Transcending Embodiment even if unfortunately we don’t play live often and also we don’t like to stay on Facebook 24/4 to promote ourselves.

8 What are the differences between the first album “TRANSCENDING EMBODIMENT” and “MANKIND RECALL”, related to music and lyrics?

With Mankind Recall we wanted to simplify a little bit the songs. Max Santarelli (guitar) wrote less complex structures and riffs, we wanted more groove, more heaviness. Lyrically is very similar to T.E.

9 Why did you decide to release this album with COMATOSE MUSIC, which has bands such as: STABBING, SHURIKEN CADAVERIC ENTWINEMENT, COATHANGER ABORTION, DESECRATE THE FAITH in its ranks… What are the expectations… and for how many jobs?

Steve Green’s Comatose Music has always been our first and only choice, we contacted him with our first demo (Crafting life) and he signed us. For us is a great honour to be in his rooster. We hope to continue this partnership in the future.

10 What are the band's plans, any tour or video?

We are writing new songs.

11 Tell us a bit about metal shows and festivals? (FREE BRUTAL WORLDWIDE STREAMING FEST)

We played at the last edition of Las Vegas Death Fest, and during the pandemic also to this great streaming fest. We hope to play again at festivals like that.

12 Tell us about Italy and its DEATH METAL and BRUTAL DEATH Metal scene?, and what do you know about the Colombian scene?

In the last years Italy has churned out a lot of great bands, but we know a lot of great Colombian bands that are very interesting and brutal, like Internal Suffering, Goretrade and many more

13 Plans for 2023 and something you want to say to the fans.

1 Cuéntanos un poco sobre el nuevo trabajo “MANKIND RECALL”

Mankind Recall es la evolución natural de Posthuman Abomination después de nuestro primer álbum Transcending Embodiment.

2 Cuéntanos ¿cómo fue la grabación y mezcla del nuevo CD “MANKIND RECALL”?

Grabamos todo nosotros mismos durante la pandemia de COVID, luego enviamos todas las pistas a Stefano Morabito en el estudio 16th Cellar (es famoso por trabajar con Decrepit Birth, Hour of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vomit The Soul, Devangelic y muchos más). Hizo un trabajo increíble, nos envió actualizaciones diarias y nos guió para alcanzar el sonido más pesado que buscábamos.

3 ¿Cómo hago la composición musical en ABOMINACIÓN POSTHUMANA? ¿Y por qué el tema del Posthumanismo, la tecnología y la ciencia ficción?

Soy un gran fanático de las películas de terror de ciencia ficción, los cyborgs y el futuro de la humanidad. Un futuro con implantes, mejoras, humanos modificados puede dar mucho miedo. También estaba un poco cansado de las letras de death metal “clásico” que escribí en el pasado.

4 ¿Cuál es el significado del título del álbum “MANKIND RECALL”?

Es un juego de palabras basado en "Retirada del producto", ya sabes, cuando un producto ya no se puede usar, es defectuoso, está obsoleto, se retira y se detiene la producción. En este caso, “el producto” es el ser humano, la humanidad, y es hora de retirarse. Durante años, los humanos pensaron en ser dueños de las máquinas, pero ahora es todo lo contrario.

5 ¿Qué representa la portada “MANKIND RECALL”?

Le describí el concepto a Guang Young y esa es su interpretación. Humanos atrapados en un entorno biomecánico al “estilo Giger”.

6 Tal como estaban las cosas con la distribución, la prensa extrema con el disco anterior “TRANSCENDING EMBODIMENT”

No está mal, recibimos buenas críticas.

7 ¿Y cómo van las cosas y la distribución con “MANKIND RECALL”?

Similar a Transcending Embodiment, aunque desafortunadamente no tocamos en vivo a menudo y tampoco nos gusta estar en Facebook las 24 horas del día, los 4 días de la semana para promocionarnos.

8 ¿Cuáles son las diferencias entre el primer álbum “TRANSCENDING EMBODIMENT” y “MANKIND RECALL”, en relación con la música y las letras?

Con Mankind Recall queríamos simplificar un poco las canciones. Max Santarelli (guitarra) escribió estructuras y riffs menos complejos, queríamos más ritmo, más pesadez. Líricamente es muy similar a T.E.

9 ¿Por qué decidiste lanzar este disco con COMATOSE MUSIC, que tiene en sus filas a bandas como: STABBING, SHURIKEN CADAVERIC ENTWINEMENT, COATHANGER ABORTION, DESECRATE THE FAITH… Cuáles son las expectativas… y para cuántos trabajos?

COMATOSE MUSIC de Steve Green siempre ha sido nuestra primera y única opción, lo contactamos con nuestra primera demostración (Crafting life) y nos contrató. Para nosotros es un gran honor estar en su gallo. Esperamos continuar con esta asociación en el futuro.

10 ¿Cuáles son los planes de la banda, alguna gira o video?

Estamos escribiendo nuevas canciones.

11 Cuéntanos un poco sobre espectáculos y festivales de metal. (FESTIVAL DE STREAMING MUNDIAL BRUTAL GRATUITO)

Tocamos en la última edición de Las Vegas Death Fest, y durante la pandemia también en este gran festival de streaming. Esperamos volver a tocar en festivales como este.

12 ¿Cuéntanos sobre Italia y su escena DEATH METAL y BRUTAL DEATH Metal?, y ¿qué sabes de la escena colombiana?

En los últimos años, Italia ha producido muchas bandas geniales, pero conocemos muchas bandas colombianas geniales que son muy interesantes y brutales, como Internal Suffering, Goretrade y muchas más.

13 Planes para 2023 y algo que quieras decirle a la afición.
